CVS Health Clinical Trials Services and Real-World Evidence (CTS/RWE) organization provides clinical trial services and RWE generation services to life science and medical technology partners. We also collaborate with our business partners, government agencies and academics to conduct public health, epidemiology, RWE, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), leveraging the rich and extensive data from claims, pharmacy, community clinics, laboratory tests, and electronic medical records.
As the Real World Evidence Researcher/Biostatistician, you will be working in a multi-disciplinary team and in collaboration with clients. You will conduct statistical and methodological activities in design, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination on a variate of RWE studies.
  • Contributes to study design, including sample size estimation, power analysis, and research relevant literature.
  • Develop and review protocols and statistical analysis plans.
  • Creates and evaluates the data needs of assigned projects and assures the high quality of the deliverables.
  • Develops data structures to organize, collect and standardize data that helps generate insights.
  • Explores, examines, and interprets large volumes of data in various forms. Performs analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve research problems. Conducts descriptive and advanced statistical modeling.
  • Presents analytic results internally and externally. Uses data visualization techniques to effectively communicate analytical results as needed.
  • Prepare research abstracts, manuscripts, and reporting development.
  • Documents projects including project objectives, data gathering and processing, detailed set of results and analytical metrics.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 95,000
Maximum: 209,000

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications
3+ years HEOR/RWE experience in Healthcare industry or health-related consulting company

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in biostatistics, health economics, outcome research, epidemiology, or other related fields with minimum of 5+ years of experience if MS; or PhD with 1+ year experience in:
  • Analyzing claim data, electronic medical record data, or other real-world health data
  • Leading project management activities, including communications within project teams, stakeholder management, and leadership updates
  • Extracting actionable insights from the analysis and interpreting outcomes of complex models to present to diverse audiences including technical, non-technical, and senior leaders
  • Preparing data for analysis, working independently or with data engineering team to create modeling dataset, assess completeness and quality of data, and perform the analysis
  • Managing design implementation and cross functional initiatives, and communicating effectively and confidently with clients, project team members, and senior management
  • Working with RWE data and have a strong understanding of analytics and how it is leveraged within the healthcare/retail industry
  • SAS, R, or Python at the proficiency level
  • Strong track records of peer-reviewed publications and/or scientific congress presentations in RWE.

Master’s Degree biostatistics, health economics, outcome research, epidemiology, or other related fields
