Agios Pharmaceuticals is searching for a dynamic Senior Principal Biostatistician/Associate Director of Biostatistics to join our growing Biostatistics team. We want someone who cares about this important work, and who is driven to connect to our mission of helping these patient communities. The Senior Principal Biostatistician/Associate Director of Biostatistics will be responsible for study- or indication-level statistical deliverables including protocol development, writing statistical analyses plans, developing Data Monitoring Committee charters, contributing to study-start up activities, performing statistical analysis, writing reports, presenting results, summarizing findings, and contributing to publications of results. The successful candidate will also participate in regulatory submissions and response to regulatory queries. 

Position will be filled at level commensurate with experience.

What you will do:

  • Provide scientifically rigorous statistical input to protocols, statistical analysis plans, interpretation of statistical results, and scientific publications.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, effective, and timely study or indication-level statistical deliverables for assigned projects.
  • Foster effective collaborations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and Agios standards across all study or indication-level statistical activities.
  • Support the establishment and maintenance of biometrics standards at Agios
  • Serve as a comprehensive resource for clinical development and statistical matters
  • Contribute to non-project activities within Biometrics department. 

 

What you bring:

  • Sr Principal Statistician: PhD in Biostatistics or related discipline with 3+ years biopharmaceutical industry experience
  • Associate Director of Biostatistics: PhD in Biostatistics or related discipline with 6+ years biopharmaceutical industry experience
  • Experience with regulatory submissions required for Associate Director position
  • Fluent with statistical software including SAS, R, EAST, and nQuery
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
